If you give someone food, it will only last a day. If you give someone alms, it may last a month. But if you give someone education, it will last a lifetime. Education is the enabling right to bring about social, economic and political inclusion of those “excluded” from the mainstream of society. Social inclusion is important for the less privileged and education opens doors to it.

The difference between the two is education. The developed world has higher levels of literacy, numeracy, their kids are in school for longer and more go to University.
I think we can all agree that poverty is a bad thing. And I think we can all agree that people learn faster when they are younger (it’s actually part of brain development). That is why educating children is important.
